So Sew Fabrics began with a passion for rescuing quality fabrics I discovered in my local thrift stores. I found yards of beautiful and fun patterns among the sea of racks, waiting to be transformed from discarded textiles into wearable items.

the dark side of fast fashion...
And each year, as much as 92 million tons of clothing ends up in landfills.
100 billion garments are produced by the fashion industry every year
85% of all textiles go to dumps each year
In the US, 66% of all unwanted clothes and textiles are landfilled. Less than 15% are recycled. The rest (19%) are burned.
That's why at So Sew Fabrics, we strive to be an environmentally conscious company and promote awareness about the global textile waste crisis. We want to encourage and educate everyone to be more mindful in their purchasing decisions.
At So Sew Fabrics, we embrace slow fashion—a movement that emphasizes sustainability, ethical production, and quality over fast production and consumption. We focus on taking fabrics that already exist, which are often considered waste, and transforming them into unique pieces that carry intention and purpose.
